After watching too many good companies lose $500K+ on SaaS implementations that failed for entirely preventable reasons, we built the team that should have existed, one that treats project management and quality testing as a single integrated discipline.
Net Fusion Technology started as a broad-service BPO with teams in Australia and the Philippines, offering web design, offshore staffing, and business consulting to Australian SMBs.
The pattern was always the same. A PM managing timelines and a separate QA team testing the final product. Two teams with different incentives, different contexts, and no shared accountability for outcomes. The PM wanted to call milestones complete. The QA team found defects the PM hadn't planned time to fix. Go-live pressure forced bad decisions. Defects reached production. Users rejected the system. The implementation "succeeded" technically and failed commercially.
In 2023, co-founders James Killick and George Votava made the decision to pivot. They'd seen enough implementations fail for the same preventable reason, and they had the combined expertise to do something about it.
James brought deep AI product development experience, 200+ app launches through Devwiz, and a fintech exit. George brought enterprise QA expertise, Inflectra partnership, and years of implementation project management for large organisations.
Together, they built NFT's integrated PM and QA model, where quality isn't a phase, it's a practice embedded in every sprint from day one.
Today, NFT operates from offices in Australia and the Philippines, working with VPs of Engineering and CTOs at B2B SaaS, Fintech, and HealthTech companies across Australia and the US West Coast.
Most implementation partners separate project management from quality assurance. We believe this separation is the root cause of most implementation failures. Our methodology treats PM and QA as one continuous practice, aligned in every sprint, every milestone, and every go-live decision.
Test strategy, acceptance criteria templates, and defect management workflows are defined before development begins. 'Done' means tested, and everyone agrees on what that means before a single line of code is written.
A QA specialist attends every sprint ceremony. Test cases are written in sprint planning. Code is validated within the sprint. Defects are raised and resolved before the sprint closes, not discovered six weeks later during a testing phase.
User acceptance testing is managed as part of the implementation, not outsourced to the business at the end. We write plain-English test scripts, train business stakeholders, capture defects, and manage formal sign-off through to go-live approval.
User acceptance testing is managed as part of the implementation — not outsourced to the business at the end. We write plain-English test scripts, train business stakeholders, capture defects, and manage formal sign-off through to go-live approval.
Two weeks before go-live, we run a formal readiness review: open defect count, UAT sign-off status, training completion, rollback plan readiness, and a go/no-go recommendation. No surprises on launch day.

LinkedIn ProfileWe treat quality as a continuous practice embedded in every sprint, not a gate at the end of delivery. If you're testing after development is finished, you're already too late.
We identify the riskiest parts of every implementation first and tackle them early. Surprises in the final weeks of a project are almost always caused by assumptions nobody validated in the first weeks.
We tell clients what they need to hear, not what they want to hear. If an implementation plan has a fatal flaw, we say so clearly, with evidence and alternatives, rather than proceeding and hoping for the best.
A delivered implementation that users don't adopt is a failure. We're not interested in hitting milestones on paper. We measure success by business outcomes: users working effectively in the new system, processes improved, ROI realised.
