We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Aluminum Windows Estimator with a solid background in the Australian construction industry and hands-on experience using V6 Estimation Software.

Job description

This role involves preparing accurate quotes and costings for aluminum window and door systems in residential and commercial projects, working closely with builders, architects, and project managers.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in aluminum windows, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in V6 software.

What you will do - Essential Responsibilities

  • Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and site plans to prepare accurate quotes.
  • Accurate and appropriate product selection based on customer requirements, relevant standards, and specifications.
  • Providing accurate and timely creation of quotations and orders using V6 software.
  • Prepare detailed take-offs, materials lists, and cost breakdowns.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to clarify requirements and confirm specifications.
  • Provide technical support and product advice to clients and team members.
  • Maintain and update pricing databases and product configurations in V6.
  • Ensure all estimates comply with Australian standards and building codes.
  • Support the sales and project teams with timely and accurate information.

Required qualifications

  • Proven experience in estimating aluminum windows and doors in the Australian construction industry.
  • Proficient in V6 Estimation Software.
  • Strong understanding of window and door systems, glazing specifications, and construction detailing.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
  • Technically minded with strong attention to detail and an ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge and experience with the National Construction Code and Australian Standards relating to windows and doors.
  • Familiarity with additional software such as AutoCAD or Revit is a plus.
  • Experience with residential and commercial projects.
